The automatic control system of a gas distribution station (SAU GRS) is designed to automatically maintain the set process of distribution and supply of gas at the required pressure and volume, protect consumers from unsafe deviations of parameters and prevent emergencies through their timely detection.

SAU GRS monitors and controls the main and auxiliary equipment, including shut-off and regulating valves, and interacts with local control systems to obtain process information in all operating modes.

What the system provides

  • Monitoring of pressure, temperature and flow at all process points
  • Control of the shut-off and regulating valves, switch-over between reduction lines
  • Protection of consumers from unsafe pressure deviations
  • Emergency and warning alarms, event log with operator interventions
  • Interaction with local systems: heaters, odorizer, metering unit, gas detectors, fire alarm
  • Transmission of data to the upper-level dispatch centre via Modbus TCP / RS-485
  • Hourly, daily and monthly archives in non-volatile memory
  • Backup power supply for at least 72 hours
